Volunteer Opportunities

Our Mission: To inspire San Diego youth by offering a place of refuge to engage in an active lifestyle.

We are looking for volunteers to help us in our mission for Stronghold Kids Club!
We thank you for your consideration. Current available positions are below:

Kids Instructor (Chess, LEGO, Nerf, Arts/Crafts, etc). : All types of Kids Classes may be considered. What’s your favorite hobby and can you inspire a kid to excel at it? Time Commitment: 1-2 hours/week.

Mentor: Do you have a heart for encouraging youth? Many kids do joy have consistent role models in their life. Consider mentoring a child on a daily basis! Time Commitment: 1-2 hours/week.

Scholarship Coordinator: Do you like working with families? This position includes seeking out potential students for full scholarships and following up with training schedules. Time Commitment: 1-2 hours/week.

Community Outreach Coordinator: If you love being involved with community events, this position includes being the eyes and ears of potential events and programs we can support. Time Commitment: 1-2 hours/week.

Grant Writing: Do you love to write and are you attentive to details? This position includes writing grants for nonprofit funding. Time Commitment: 2-3 hours/week.

Fundraising: If you like to brainstorm unique fundraising ideas or manage events, online campaigns, this job is for the active financial guru to raise funds. Time Commitment: 2-3 hours/week.

Event planning: Do you like to bring the community together through events? This volunteer position includes brainstorming events and day-of execution. Time Commitment: 2-4 hours/week.

Volunteer Coordinator: If you love working and managing teams, consider being our volunteer coordinator! Time Commitment: 2-3 hours/week.

Social Media Assistant: Schedule posts, collect images, draft content. If you love social media, this position will be great for you! Time Commitment: 2-7 hours/week.

Nonprofit Organization Liason: If you love supporting nonprofits, this position includes partnering with other organizations for support/planning of upcoming events and programs. Time Commitment: 2-3 hours/week.

Business Partner Liason: Do you have a lot of business connections? This position includes working hand in hand with owners to help support their businesses and plan collaborative projects like fundraisers. Time Commitment: 1-2 hours/week.

In-Kind Gift Manager: This position works hand in hand with our DonationMatch accounts, which includes offering scholarships and accepting in-kind items for events. Time Commitment: 1-2 hours/week.

Sponsorship Coordinator: Works hand in hand with in-kind gift manager, but involves actively seeking new in-kind and monetary gifts from outside sources. Time Commitment: 1-2 hours/week.

Photographer: Simply put, if you love taking photos, this position is for you! Time Commitment: 1-2 hours/week.

Videographer: If you love shooting and editing videos, this position includes simple day-to-day social media videos or project campaign videos. Time Commitment: 2-4 hours/week.

Graphic Designer: Perfect for the up and coming graphic designer who would like to gain some experience and to build their portfolio. Create social media images, website design, etc. Time Commitment: 3-7 hours/week.

Web Developer/Designer: This job includes building our website, and is also a great fit for someone who would like to build their web design portfolio. Time Commitment: 3-7 hours/week.
